Working at The Fun Factor can be lots of fun. You will get to meet lots of nice people and be part of a great team who all work together to create the best customer experience possible within our play centre.

To achieve this, hard workers are required! Prepare to be on your feet all day, hosting parties, entertaining children, serving customers, cleaning tables, mopping and vacuuming the floors, cleaning the play frame also cleaning the toilets! You will need to be flexible with rotas and will be expected to work weekends and school holidays.

We have the following roles available at The Fun Factor:

Supervisor –Flexible hours covering a 7 day rota.

We are seeking an outgoing, friendly, confident, and customer focused person to join our team flexibility is essential, especially during school holidays and you must be able to work weekends.
As a Supervisor you will be required to work in all areas of The Fun Factor including:

Reception area: Where you will meet and greet our customers and provide a warm welcome.

Servery area:  Where you will take food and refreshment orders.

You will also be responsible for the continual upkeep of The Fun Factor contributing to our high standards of cleanliness. You will be required to cover for the managers during their absence and at these times you will have added responsibilities.

You should have previous experience within a customer-facing environment and possess excellent customer service skills; previous experience of managing staff would also be preferable.The ability to work under pressure is essential as we are a busy play centre throughout the year. You must have good IT skills, be punctual, articulate and well presented.  A current food hygiene qualification would be advantageous, however this can be obtained upon joining the team.  A First Aid qualification would also be advantageous.

Party Host

Party Hosts have an extremely important role within The Fun Factor; every child’s party needs to be an amazing experience for children, parents and guests. With this in mind, we are looking for the following qualities:• Bubbly personality, confident and extremely outgoing
• Excellent customer service and time management skills
• Enjoy being around children and making a fool of themselves
• Organise and run birthday parties
• Booking, taking payments and making amendments for parties
• Ensuring adequate party stock
• Greeting guests and making everyone feel at ease whilst letting them know you are there for anything they may require
• Serving food and drinks and cleaning up after parties and ensuring that all of this is done within the time scale given (this can be a very fast paced environment)
• Follow party schedules for each day
• To be able to communicate effectively

Customer Assistant

As a Customer Assistant, you also have an extremely important role within The Fun Factor. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, and would need to maintain our high standards of quality and customer service. With this in mind, we are looking for the following qualities:

• Be able to Meet and greet all customers, with friendly professional manner at all times
• Answer phone calls and respond to any queries made by customers in a professional manner
• Deal with customer issues effectively
• Handle admissions (checking customers in and out)
• Accept payment (cash and card transactions)
• Assist with party planning and scheduling
• To be able to accurately answer questions about The Fun Factor including pricing, parties and any activities taking place
• Serve food and drinks consisting with The Fun Factor’s standards
• Be willing to clean and perform toilet checks to maintain high standards of cleanliness within The Fin Factor.

Kitchen Assistant

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be part of a busy modern commercial kitchen that holds a 5 star food hygiene rating. We are looking for hard working and reliable applicants (references will be necessary). Working with the kitchen manager, your duties will include, pot washing, food preparation & cleaning duties.

• Kitchen experience essential
• Flexible hours, and must be able to work weekends as well as week days
• NVQ Level 2/3 in food hygiene desirable
